About Me
It's nice to meet you! My name is Lydia, and I'm a writer, editor, and communications professional with a passion for telling stories that are meaningful, bring connection and, above all, are deeply human.

My professional experience is largely focused in writing for the nonprofit and higher education sectors, where I've penned profiles on donors and students, features on university programs impacted by philanthropy, and educational articles about ways donors can give back. While some of my personal favorite topics to cover are history or arts and entertainment pieces, I'll gladly pursue any good story!

I've always enjoyed words and reading, but it wasn't until a stint reporting for my hometown newspaper that I discovered a deep love for getting to hear others' stories and help share them with the world. This led me to earn a bachelor's in English with a minor in journalism and a professional writing certificate from Texas A&M University.

Currently, I'm a marketing coordinator for the Texas A&M Foundation, a nonprofit and the primary academic fundraising institution for Texas A&M University. In my free time, you can find me cooking; enjoying a good book, movie, or play; or planning my next travel adventure.
